Neiman C. Young is a retired U.S. Army officer, former public sector executive, and executive coach with more than 20 years of experience leading organizations in high-pressure environments. His career spans military command, municipal leadership, and now executive wellness coaching, where he focuses on helping leaders sustain performance while protecting their health and well-being. Dr. Young served 23 years in the U.S. Army, holding multiple leadership roles across diverse operational environments. His military service included deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, where he led teams in complex and high-stakes situations. His career culminated in commanding a Special Operations company in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, a role that required strategic leadership, resilience, and disciplined execution. Following his retirement in 2017, Dr. Young transitioned into public sector leadership, joining King George County, Virginia. There, he led key initiatives including the County’s Debt Mitigation Plan and its first Economic Development Strategic Plan in over two decades. He also successfully negotiated major infrastructure agreements involving federal and state transportation agencies. In 2021, he was appointed Assistant City Manager for Corpus Christi, Texas, one of the largest cities in the state. In this role, he managed over 900 employees and oversaw a $901.4 million operating budget along with a $700 million capital budget. His work involved coordinating complex city operations, strategic planning, and organizational leadership at scale. Today, Dr. Young focuses on executive coaching and the development of a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting senior leaders through confidential consultation in self-care, health, and wellness. His mission is to address burnout and stress among leaders by providing tools that promote resilience, clarity, and sustainable performance. He holds a Doctorate in Public Policy and Administration, a Master of Business Administration, and a Bachelor of Arts in Business. His work is grounded in real-world leadership experience and a deep understanding of the demands placed on executives across sectors.
